The social worker provides psychosocial support services to facilitate patient and family adjustment to illness utilizing knowledge of the psychosocial impact of disease on individuals and families as it relates to their age, stage of development, culture, physical and psychosocial competence. Provides individual and group counseling, case management and advocacy services and works collaboratively with the health care team.
Education
Masters Degree : Accredited School of Social Work (Required)
Experience
2 Years experience as a Social Worker in an oncology hospital or related setting (Required)
General experience in End of Life Care (Preferred)
License/Certifications
CSW-LIC - PA Clinical Social Worker Lic (Required) or SW-LIC - PA Social Worker License (Required)
