Position Title: Quality Auditor
Location: Remote with Travel Required
Period of Performance: 10/01/2024 to 9/30/2027
Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 annually DOE

Project/Position Overview:
HUD holds the mission of creating strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all. The mission of HUD entails working to strengthen the housing market to bolster the economy and protect consumers, meet the need for quality affordable rental homes, utilize housing as a platform for improving quality of life, build inclusive and sustainable communities free from discrimination and transform the way HUD does business. The Quality Auditor will ensure that organizational processes – and the goods and services that result – comply with the requirements of standards (e.g., ISO 9001), as well as customer, regulatory, and the organization’s own requirements.
This role is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements.

Periodically inspect and calibrate auditing tools (e.g., scales, calipers).

Assist in development of audit plans, audit schedules.

Schedule and conduct National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) related studies.

Participate in quality audits (and lead a team of quality auditors, when needed).

Identify processes, situations, etc., where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement.

Assist audit team in developing audit reports; present audit reports to top management and customers as needed/required.

Assist with follow-up audits, as required

Develop internal auditing/testing parameters
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Business, Management, Engineering, or another Quality Management related field.

5+ years of Quality Management experience with 4+ years of experience conducting quality system audits.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred.

Minimum of OSHA 30-hour construction safety training required.

Knowledge and experience with construction practices including applicable building codes, historic restorations, masonry, applicable safety regulations, seismic systems, cost breakdown estimating and negotiating, and technical writing

Written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills

Knowledge of software including Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.

Maintain a valid driver's license.

Qualified applicant must be able to pass a background check.

Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
