Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, with a particular focus on wireless technologies. Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of our network systems, and work closely with other IT professionals to support our organization's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation:
o Design and deploy network solutions to support business requirements, with a focus on wireless technologies.
o Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs).
- Wireless Network Management:
o Plan, implement, and manage wireless networks, ensuring optimal coverage, performance, and security.
o Conduct site surveys to assess and optimize wireless network coverage and capacity.
o Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable operation.
o Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
o Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users and resolve network-related issues.
o Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
o Generate reports on network performance, utilization, and incidents.
- Collaboration and Training:
o Work closely with IT teams to support and enhance network services.
o Provide training and guidance to team members and end-users on network-related topics.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
o Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably with a focus on wireless networking.
o Hands-on experience with network hardware and software (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Ubiquiti).
o Experience with wireless networking technologies and standards (e.g., Wi-Fi 6, WPA3, 802.11 protocols).
o Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetSpot).
o Strong understanding of network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Strong communication and collaboration skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, CWNA).
- Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Knowledge of network security best practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC).
Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Pay Range - 70-80/hr
