Project Manager Role Description:
This is a full-time position for a driven and collaborative Project Manager at O'ROURKE WRECKING COMPANY in Cincinnati, OH. As a pivotal member of our organization, you'll spearhead the successful execution of multiple demolition projects, working closely with our dedicated team to deliver excellence from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management. They will also be involved in coordinating with clients, conducting inspections, managing logistics, and ensuring project milestones are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is preferred, coupled with a minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in construction management or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of engineering theories and practices as it relates to demolition a plus.
- Must have strong organizational skills in order to handle the varieties of tasks assigned.
- Ability to read and evaluate blueprints and relevant contract documents. Must develop positive working relationships with Owners, Clients, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers as well as the public.
- Demonstrated ability to manage people, budget, schedule, and quality of work at multiple construction sites.
- MS Office and construction management software experience.
- Understands and promotes a “team” concept.
Responsibilities:r
- This role is very heavy administrative and requires thoroughness and follow-through on all items.
- Provide a safe, family-oriented environment.
- Always deliver the highest quality.
- Effectively and professionally communicating verbally with employees, external vendors, owners, and general contractors.
- Reading, understanding, and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Soliciting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, writing subcontracts and PO’s, schedule coordination and invoices.
- Making sure that permits, if required, are obtained.
- Working with Superintendent to determine equipment and crew needs.
- Preparing monthly detailed pay estimates for submission to owners and price up changes/extra work for the owner.
- Making constant important decisions and resolving conflicts about the job or project itself, including various costs, scheduling, and contract items.
- Other duties as needed and/or assigned.
