The District Manager should have experience leading multi-unit stores in the restaurant industry, as you will be responsible for ensuring district-wide customer satisfaction and measuring the financial performance of all the locations in your area. The District Manager has the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of their Andy’s stores in support of the Mission, Values and Culture while role modeling Andy’s Standard of Excellence and taking complete ownership of their stores. The District Manager ensures compliance with company standards in all areas of operations to include but not limited to: product preparation and delivery, customer service, facilities maintenance and financial accountability. This role accomplishes these objectives by actively selecting, training, and coaching the talent to achieve key results in Custard, Crew, and Customers.
Reports To: Regional Vice President
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the store management team within the region to deliver legendary customer experiences in all stores.
- Drive the implementation of company programs to meet operational and organizational objectives.
- Manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Andy’s Frozen Custard.
- Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate key responsibilities and practices to the store management team.
- Review store environments and key business indicators within the district to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create district implementation plans to support execution of regional and company initiatives.
- Follow up consistently to ensure accountability to plans.
- Monitor and manage district-wide management staffing levels.
- Utilize existing tools to identify and prioritize communications to the store management team within the district.
- Access external resources to support company-wide operations including Marketing, Finance, and Store Development.
- Solicit customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.
- Utilize management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in district performance.
- Be working in store on shifts a minimum of 3 days per week; Must be on store schedule
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of proven management experience in the food service industry
- Direct supervision of 20+ employees
- Responsibility for training and developing teams
- Coaching employees and planning for succession on a team
- Responsibility for scheduling hours or controlling overtime
- Experience analyzing financial reports
- Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Experience in a multi-unit environment
- Bachelors Degree in Business/Hospitality Management (preferred) or equivalent experience in field
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Work a minimum of 45-50 hours per week, have open availability; available by phone 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
- Can manage cash according to cash handling and banking policies
- Must be able to work late nights, weekends, as well as some holidays including but not limited to Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, and Easter
- Complete training in all areas of store within designated amount of time
- Must be able to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities
- Must be able to use touch sensitive POS System tablet
