Cyber Research and Editorial Associate
FDD's Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation is seeking a research and editorial associate to contribute to our research efforts and assist in sharing the research findings with external stakeholders. The successful applicant should have a demonstrated interest in national security and cyber policy. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Produce high-quality written content including research memos, op-eds, and policy briefs, providing insightful analysis and recommendations on cyber-related issues for internal and external audiences.

Contribute research to CCTI lines of effort including critical infrastructure cybersecurity, national cyber resilience, and emerging cyber threats.

Write key points and analysis on breaking news developments related to CCTI's research

Engage with policymakers, experts, and stakeholders in the policy community to disseminate research findings

Assist with press outreach and communication of CCTI research findings in coordination with CCTI leadership and the FDD press team

Assist with communication of CCTI accomplishments to external stakeholders

Assist FDD Events and Communications teams with marketing materials and recruitment for events and roundtables relevant to CCTI lines of effort

Manage CCTI and CSC 2.0 social media presence in coordination with FDD Communications
Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in national security

Prior research or operational experience in cyber policy preferred but not required

Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as international relations, national security policy, and/or STEM

Strong research skills with the ability to conduct thorough and rigorous analysis of cyber policy and cybersecurity issues

Strong communication and writing skills

Self-motivated, with an ability to work both independently as well as part of cross-departmental teams

Detail-oriented and well-organized
