JOIN OUR TEAM AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN!
Ridgeview Institute is currently hiring for a full-time Maintenance Technician / Handyman to use skilled trade abilities to execute day-to-day preparation tasks and accomplish various jobs for our hospital. The Maintenance Technician/Handyman performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform all tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, preventive maintenance.

HVAC and tests and inspections of the physical plant.

Clean and change air filters as required through the Preventive Maintenance Program.

Clean kitchen grease traps and stove hood filters.
-
Dispose of infectious/contaminated waste from the facility.

Maintain facility grounds in a neat and attractive appearance.

Operate and maintain emergency power plant.

Maintain all light fixtures in good working condition and change light bulbs as needed.

Perform preventive maintenance electrical test as well as the removal, installation and repair of all mechanical/electrical equipment with direct supervision of a supervisor. Perform various janitorial duties.

Responsible for keeping tools and materials in good condition and in their proper location. Responsible for taking necessary safety precautions when handling hand/power tools and equipment.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred; two years of technical or trade school preferred.
Experience: Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions. Must experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering. Must have experience working in a hospital setting.
Licensure: Must have a valid driver's license.
Additional Requirements: Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within two weeks of hire. Successful completion CPR/ First Aid certification and CPI training to within 90 days of employment prior to assisting with restraining procedures. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Compensation:
This is a Full Time/Part Time, non-exempt role and the expected compensation range is between $16.00 and $18.00/hour. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Maintenance Tech!
