The role of the Estimating Coordinator is to assist the Estimating Department with projected related tasks, document control, office-to-field communications, and the overall success of the construction project. Many Estimating Coordinators advance within the department to become Project Estimators.
Job Duties

Assisting project teams with various tasks to ensure project success.

Assist with the preparation of bids, budgets, schedules, proposals, scope documents, RFI's, and other documents at the direction of the estimating group.

Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to vendors, internal team members, and clients.

Call and email vendors throughout bid process.
-
Prepare and distribute bid instructions, bid forms, and bid scopes.

Download, organize, manage, and distribute bid documents in multiple databases.

Prepare and maintain project estimate folders.
-
Schedule meetings and site visits and manage associated access requests and calendar invitations.

Attend site visits and meetings to take photographs, document site conditions, gather questions and requests for information, and perform due diligence.

Review RFP's for milestone dates and send necessary information and calendar invites to estimating, project, and marketing teams.

Assist with management of vendor contact information, qualification, and classification.

Research materials and specifications.

Prepare meeting materials and meeting minutes.

Demonstrate a "can do attitude" and do whatever it takes to meet deadlines and obtain client satisfaction.

Be willing to take direction, instructions and constructive feedback from VP of Pre-Construction, Ownership, the Preconstruction team, and JDL management regarding assignments.

Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors, always instilling this philosophy.
