A Behavior Technician is a unique and demanding position that requires a diverse set of skills to really thrive in the role, and our goal is to attract and retain the best people as we recognize this is essential to our, and your, success. Candidates should be interested in working 1 on 1 with children on the Autism Spectrum providing playful therapy sessions to facilitate learning through fun and curiosity. DASI provides on the job training in Applied Behavior Analysis and paid online coursework. Services may be provided within a center and/or community-based (school) model. All qualified candidates will be kept on file for six months.

Candidate Qualifications:
- Must love working with children (experience preferred), be self-motivated, creative, enthusiastic, patient and caring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Reliable attendance and excellent time management
- Applicants must hold a minimum of a High School Diploma
- Have a safe driving record for the previous five years
- Consent to a criminal background check
- Additional screening may be required
Behavior Technician Responsibilities:
- Implement programs for children with Autism using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Collect data related to customized treatment plan goals unique to the needs of each child in order to track progress and response to treatment
- Utilize organizational skills to maintain data collection and required daily medical records
- Collaborate with a diverse ABA therapy team including Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Board Certified assistant Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians and a Speech Pathologist
- Ability to physically engage with children; kneeling, bending and lifting when necessary
Becoming a Behavior Technician may be a perfect opportunity if you are currently enrolled in college pursuing any of the following fields; healthcare, psychology, elementary education, speech pathology or occupational therapy. Additionally, you may be a good fit if you have experience in any of the following; babysitting children with special needs, special education classrooms, substitute teaching, teacher’s aide, tutor, camp counselor or preschool teacher.
