OB/Gynecology office in Walnut Creek. Looking for an experienced, reliable, energetic, team player with impeccable customer service skills to join our well established practice.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to provide exceptional customer service while answering and directing calls efficiently. Familiarity with our providers, specialties, divisions, and teams is crucial for success in this role. Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives and other visitors.
- Schedule patient appointments in person or on the telephone.
- Answer phones and triage messages
- Prepare patient billing statements and confirm insurance for next day schedule
- Call patients to remind them of their upcoming appointment
- Collect patient co-payments
- Process prior authorizations
- Data entry into Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
- Scan pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, recent labs and reports delivered by patients, insurance card, and identification card.
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival and room assignment.
- Maintain office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies. Order pharmaceutical samples.
