NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human services agency, is currently seeking a Program Director to oversee the Family Resource Center in Lowell, MA.
The Lowell FRC is a member of the Massachusetts Family Resource Center Network and is open to all individuals and families living in the Greater Lowell Area. The FRC provides a variety of services including family support, career support, mental health counseling, education support, Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) support, and more. Services are provided either on-site or through referrals made to the FRC’s comprehensive network of community providers. We strive to be a kind and nurturing environment that affords its members the opportunity to access supports and resources tailored to meet their own unique individual and family needs. Our core services include psychoeducation classes, workshops and support groups, and we also operate a small food pantry and community closet supplied with basic need items.
Our ideal Program Director candidate will be responsible for enhancing strategic and solid partnerships between the agency and community organizations on behalf of families and children. The Program Director will be the primary liaison with all contracted service providers and will represent the FRC in community events and forums.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight in the development, implementation and coordination of a network of community resources and partnerships.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of FRC operating system and services, processes, and workflows, identifying and addressing system or programmatic barriers where needed.
- Represent NFI, MA to collateral agencies, community partners and consumers.
- Provide contract management oversight and participate in all DCF-led regional and statewide FRC meetings.
- Manage program budget, including approval of all program expenses.
- Administer a system for routinely obtaining feedback from members served by FRC and its contracting agencies.
- Ensure supervision and professional development of all FRC staff.
- Monitor record keeping of services provided for all incoming members and referrals.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and assist in the development of and compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
- Data analysis/reporting.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s level (preferred) training in Social Work, Community Development and/or Urban Planning, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services or a related field.
- Familiarity of principles and practices of human services, child and family welfare, legislature, and industry trends/developments.
- Experience supervising a team of direct reports, with the ability to inspire and engage others in learning as well as competence in resolving problems and conflicts in a diplomatic manner.
- Expertise in community-based interventions to improve outcomes for low income, culturally diverse families and communities.
- Record of developing and implementing program strategies with community stakeholders; ability to form and maintain collaboration among partners.
- Outstanding organizational, written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated program measurement, reporting and evaluation skills.
- Bilingual/Bicultural preferred.
Salary range: $63,000-67,000 annually
