Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Commissioning Lead with extensive experience in LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading mechanical commissioning activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a deep understanding of LNG facility operations and commissioning processes, coupled with strong leadership abilities to manage a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical commissioning activities for LNG projects from pre-commissioning through to handover and startup phases.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules in coordination with project management and engineering teams.
- Oversee the inspection, testing, and certification of mechanical systems and equipment according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Manage a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with construction, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies related to mechanical commissioning activities.
- Interface with vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives to coordinate commissioning activities and ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare commissioning reports, progress updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical commissioning roles within the LNG industry, with at least 5 years in a lead capacity.
- Proven experience in commissioning LNG facilities, including cryogenic systems, gas processing units, storage tanks, and associated infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of commissioning procedures, international standards (e.g., ASME, API), and regulatory requirements specific to LNG projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive performance in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering productive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $95.00 - $105.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
