Job Purpose/Summary
Under the direct supervision of the program Supervisor, the Therapist II – Outpatient provides therapy and related clinical services to consumers and their families.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in a clinical discipline, such as social work, psychology, counseling, and mental health.
Experience:
· 1 year of experience in family systems theory and brief/solution-focused treatment and counseling related to, but not limited to: family, child/development, victimization, trauma, and depression.
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:
· Act 33/34 Clearances
· FBI Clearance

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Provides individual, family, and/or group therapy with child and/or adult consumers and their families.
· Conducts initial intake and assessment of consumers.
· Participates in treatment planning with supervisory and consultant staff.
· Establishes and implements time sensitive and effective treatment objectives with each consumer and their family when appropriate.
· Translates theoretical knowledge into effective treatment interventions based upon individual and family dynamics. Provides services in a manner consistent with the profession’s code of ethics.
· Participates in ongoing supervision with the program Supervisor, seeks additional supervision, as needed, to enhance the performance of duties, and proactively and/or immediately alerts the Supervisor of concerns.
· Fully participates in staff development opportunities, which are offered to enhance professional growth, such as staff meetings and on-site and off-site trainings.
· Responds to emergency consultation and/or crisis as needed/required.
· Assists and/or teaches consumers interactive skills to successfully interface with community involvements, such as schools and other agencies.
· Informs, instructs, and assists consumers in regard to the access of appropriate community resources.
· Identifies, develops, and coordinates additional supportive and case management services as relevant to assigned consumers.
· Maintains a level of face-to-face consumer contact that commensurate with agency expectations.
· Maintains documentation for involvement with and contacts made for consumers. Adheres to documentation requirements established by internal policies and procedures, state/county guidelines, licensing requirements, and other applicable guidelines. Completes all clinical documentation in a manner that is timely, accurate, and meets audit-tested requirements.
