Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Meat Cutter to join our team. Any applicants without experience are still encouraged to apply, as long as they have the willingness to learn. As a Line Cook/Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various meat products per food safety and quality standards. Other tasks include, but not limited to maintaining the line, quality of food output, cleaning, and closing kitchen duties. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meat products/ menu items.
Duties:
- Cut, trim, and prepare different cuts of meat, including beef, pork, and poultry
- Follow proper techniques and guidelines for portion control and food handling
- Ensure that all meat/food products are properly stored and labeled
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cutting/line area
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations in the kitchen or food service area
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Experience:
-Ability to Multitask
- Previous experience as a Meat Cutter or similar role in the food industry preferred, but not necessary
- Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper cutting techniques preffered
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills and hand-eye coordination
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
Skills:
- Food safety: Understanding of food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure safe handling of meat/food products.
- Kitchen: Familiarity with kitchen operations and equipment used in meat/ food preparation.
- Catering: Experience working in a catering environment is a plus.
- Food service: Knowledge of customer service principles in a food service setting.
- Food industry: Understanding of the overall operations and standards within the food industry.
- Cook: Basic cooking skills may be required for certain tasks related to meat/ food preparation.
- Food preparation: Proficiency in preparing meat/food products for cooking or serving.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
