We seek a Medical Assistant for our pediatrics primary care clinic in Long Beach.
Medical Assistant's primary duties will include but are not limited to:
- Front Office: Scheudule appts, Confirm Appts, Understant Insurance, Check-In and Out Patients.
- Answer incoming calls and administrative duties
- Creating relationships with patients by giving excellent customer service
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner
- Taking patient chief complaints and vitals
- Assisting physicians with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care
- Taking vitals and preparing patients for their clinical exams
- Drawing blood, giving injections and vaccines (VFC)
- Scan screeners and paperwork to the chart
- Preventive Measures/HEDIS
- Work with Pediatric patients
Qualifications include:
- Experience (preferred) as a medical assistant, preferably in a primary care setting with pediatric patients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills
- Electronic Medical Records proficiency
- Some software skills are a requirement, including familiarity with Excel, MS Office programs, and Gmail, as well as internet research abilities.
- The desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing
- Bilingual (Spanish)
Educational Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
