Handprints and Footsteps Pediatric Therapy is looking for an experienced medical front office administrator to become a part of our growing pediatric therapy clinic team. Administrative experience in a medical office is a requirement. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of medical insurance (including NC Medicaid, SC Medicaid and other private insurances) and data entry into an EMR.
Responsibilities includes being the first face clients see when they arrive, having a friendly and caring attitude while being incredibly professional and organized. A few of the common job requirements will be to answer phones, call patients to schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits, collect payments, help manage the clinic schedule and assist with administrative duties and office tasks.
The following qualifications are required:
- Medical front office administrative/receptionist background of at least 1 year or more
- Working knowledge of CPT coding, ICD10 codes and Medical Terminology.
- Familiarity with insurance policies
- Patience and kindness on both phone calls and while in person.
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Gmail and G Suite, EMR, Adobe, etc.
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment and is skilled at multi-tasking.
- Adheres to all industry standards related to infection control, patient confidentiality, and regulatory and accrediting body's requirements (i.e. HIPAA and OSHA)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
