Position Summary
CalCPA, the nation’s largest professional association for CPA’s, is seeking a seasoned Account Executive to expand market share among licensed CPAs and related professions in California. This role involves nurturing assigned accounts to increase revenue, reaching out to CPA firms and relevant organizations, and representing CalCPA at events. The Account Executive will leverage their creativity, professionalism, sales experience, and enthusiasm to engage with organizational leadership, executives, and key decision-makers, promoting CalCPA’s membership, continuing education, and other programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify key staff in target organizations to cultivate profitable relationships.
- Identify and focus on upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Develop end-to-end repeatable sales playbook, from prospecting to pitch, sales operations and tool stack.
- Preserve and grow membership through relationship building.
- Gain solid knowledge of competitors from a sales perspective.
- Present, promote, and sell products/services using a sound sales strategy to existing and prospective members, customers, and organizations.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop a robust lead generation flow.
- Manage relationships with member organizations to ensure rosters are accurate throughout the year, membership billing is maintained, and regular updates are offered with regard to membership, learning opportunities, and other products offered by CalCPA.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Develop leads through marketing alignment, cold calling, and other appropriate prospecting techniques. Achieve agreed-upon sales targets (revenues, unit sales, gross margin, etc.) and outcomes within schedule.
- Coordinate sales efforts with fellow team members and other departments, including product and membership marketing.
- Deliver core business metrics, reporting, and analytics across the sales team and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of sales best practices and promotional trends.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in sales and related fields required
- Bachelor's degree
- NorCal based only
- Proficiency in creating and managing sales campaigns using Salesforce Lightning Sales Console and other sales technologies.
- Exceptional team building and leadership abilities.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and with a proven sales track record.
- Proven skills in communication, prospecting, lead development and tracking, deal development, negotiation, and closing sales.
- Talent for cultivating long-term, positive relationships.
- Excellent time and project management capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and other analytics tools.

Salary:
$70,000 - $75,000 annual salary
OTE: $100,000 – $115,000 annually
