Project Engineer ( Los Angeles & Orange County Area )
New Creation Builders is a professional service organization providing services based in typical general construction, general contracting, construction management, design/build, and Engineering. We are looking to fill the position of Project Engineer for projects located at both Los Angeles and Orange County. Ideal candidate would be charismatic self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with clients needs on a daily basis.
JOB SUMMARY:
Work with Project managers and Superintendents to help directs all construction related activities for a project to ensure projects are completed to meet company's quality standards and schedules. Manages all resources, including sub-contractors to ensure timely completion of projects. Provides leadership to employees and is responsible for scheduling, workforce planning, supervising, and ensuring safety policies and procedures are adhered to on project sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read blueprints and comprehend construction methods is required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Superior organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
Proficiency in office productivity hardware and software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Projects, MS Outlook)
Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others, have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives
Ability to adapt
Ability to send RFIs, Submittals, and project schedules
Thorough knowledge of construction methods, codes and regulations
Strong understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, technology, equipment methods, cost control, schedules, etc. and their impact on project activities
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must demonstrate an ability to work in a team and maintain effective working relationships
Flexibility in work schedule (day time/off hours).
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Recent college graduate or 1 to 2 years experience in construction managing medium to large private commercial & public work projects. BS in engineering, architecture, construction management or other applicable background is preferred.
