The Catering Manager will be responsible for booking groups, events, maintaining negotiated accounts, and prospecting for new business along with any additional tasks directed by the Director of Sales. Perform clerical and administrative duties relating to sales, catering, banquets, event space, and food & beverage. Works closely with sales coordinator, banquets & food and beverage department, oversees preparation of the event space for events. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Prior experience with Hilton preferred.

- Increase revenue and market share from high-value key accounts within assigned segments

- Identify and grow new revenue opportunities within assigned segments
- Foster and grow industry relationships and proactively solicit revenue opportunities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that includes sales calls, events, trade shows, client entertainment, site inspections
- Interface with all hotels departments to optimize the guest experience for travelers
- Actively manage a revenue portfolio and develop reporting practices to track performance
- Participate in regular sales, revenue and management meetings
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hotel sales environment - 2 years preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under stressful circumstances
- Flexibility to work during weekends and holidays
- Prior experience with Hilton, OnQ, and Delphi preferred
