We are a small, yet dynamic Plastic Surgery practice located in Dallas in the Preston Hollow area. We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) to become an intricate part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks that are vital to keeping our surgical practice running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, monitoring emails, facilitating communication between the patient and the RN or the MD, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records
- Assist with patient flow
- Maintain, stock, and set up exam / procedure room
- Educate and prepare patients for surgery and obtain medical clearance prior to surgical procedures
- Schedule and perform patient preoperative appointments and obtain surgical consents
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments
- Assist surgeon with in-office procedures and treatments
- Document patient care and progress by charting in patient electronic record
- Surgical follow-up appointments, including suture removals and drain removals
Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Graduate with 2 or more related years of experience in a surgical / clinical environment
- Training from an accredited Medical Assistant School which included basic clinical and administrative skills
- CMA or CCMA certification is required
- Knowledge of and experience with electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
