The Accounts Payable Specialist at Pride Chemical Solutions is an essential part of our finance operations, focusing on managing financial records, executing payment processes, and maintaining proper accounting controls. You will have the opportunity to work closely with vendors, prepare internal and external reports, and contribute to modernizing and improving our accounting processes. This role demands a high level of precision, reliability, and analytical skills to enhance our financial procedures and internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Ensure the accuracy of accounts payable entries. Execute payments through manual checks and wire transfers in a timely manner. Learn the existing legacy ERP system, and be part of a new ERP implementation in 2025. Lead the setup and rollout of ACH payment capability in the new ERP, working with banking partners, IT consultants, and colleagues from our NY accounting team.
- Accounting Records: Maintain comprehensive monthly accounting records to support the company’s financial transactions and reporting requirements.
- Vendor Relations: Act as the primary liaison for vendor communications, addressing inquiries and ensuring smooth transaction processes.
- Cash Flow Monitoring: Oversee daily cash flow, maintaining accurate records and forecasts to support financial decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Assess current accounting operations, offering insights for improvement and leading the implementation of efficient processes.
- Compliance and Reporting: Handle the preparation and filing of 1099 forms for independent contractors, adhering to tax regulations and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- 5-10 years’ experience in Accounts Payable. Experience participating in a new ERP implementation is a plus. Experience with ACH payment processes also a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for dealing with vendors and internal teams.
- A keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial documentation.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to work on eight (8) hour shift in an office and fast paced, chemical manufacturing environment.
- Will be required to use computer daily to effectively complete job functions for the entire shift.
