Our company is global private equity firm specializing in commercial real estate. We sponsor a variety of investment funds and commercial real estate projects across the United States. Our company is seeking a strong self-starter to manage the Corporate Accounting responsibilities of multiple corporate entities and job cost properties. This position reports directly to the VP of Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and export journal entries
· Prepare general ledger activity for all corporate entities
· Review and verify invoices and check requests
· Post and process invoices for payment within Yardi PayScan
· Verify proper approvals and posting to correct corporate entity
· Post and reconcile transactions to the general ledger
· Perform account reconciliations and analyze ongoing activity
· Perform bank reconciliations
· Maintain vendor information
· Generate periodic financial statements as required
· Complete month-end closing procedures
· Coordinate auditor requests and provide supporting documentation
· Maintain intercompany accounting to insure all consolidated entities remain in balance
· Produce supporting schedules for Notes, Fixed Assets, Management Fees and other areas as required
· Assist with development of and documentation of internal controls, policies and procedures
· Produce ad hoc analysis, reports, and special projects as needed
· Ensure that accurate and timely accounting records are maintained
· Ensure that income and expenses are recognized and properly reported
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum 5 years professional accounting experience in a similar industry
· Experience with Yardi, QuickBooks and adaptability to using various accounting software
· Yardi job cost experience preferred
· Experience in reconciliation of cash activity
· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting concepts
· Familiarity with investment partnership reporting a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
