JOB MISSION:
The Associate Manager, Consumer Analytics will drive consumer analytics for New Balance in the United States. This position will be a key advocate for applying 1st party consumer data to deliver critical insights across the organization. This role will work closely with Marketing, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, and Data Science teams to develop analyses and data products that deliver valuable insights to collaborators across the organization.
The ideal candidate will blend knowledge of consumer behavior, data analysis, and marketing theory to deliver analyses that drive a deeper understanding of New Balance’s consumer base. This role will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to interpret business requests and deliver analyses that aid intelligent decision making.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Own 1st party consumer data analytics for New Balance in the United States.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to develop analyses that answer probing questions about consumer behavior.
Serve as a key data translator that can effectively communicate across the organization to ensure a consistent, cohesive understanding of consumer behavior.
Lead exploration of new analytics techniques and determine applicability to our business.
Work in tandem with IT partners to run the development and upkeep of consumer data products.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or Economics.
5+ years of analytics-focused experience.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, synthesize, and interpret extensive data to make actionable recommendations to the business
Proficient in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
Knowledge of statistical coding languages (Python or R) appreciated, but not required.
Foundational knowledge of predictive modeling and statistical analytics techniques.
Ability to work in a matrixed environment that requires collaboration and consensus building.
Ability to refine nebulous requests into clear research objectives.
Curiosity and self-motivation to continuously explore consumer database for new insights.
Passion for athletic footwear/apparel industry and the New Balance brand.

Flexible Work Schedule
For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced “Work from Anywhere” (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
