GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Supervise multiple teams across one or more power plants to ensure safe, quality contractual performance.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
- Will be knowledgeable of and follow all safety rules, procedures and practices.
- Will carry out assignments in training for and/or performing fire response and first aid.
- Will, during the normal performance of his duties, watch for and promptly report to plant supervision any damaged or defective equipment or conditions which may cause damage or injury.
- Will keep all equipment, tools, materials and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Will report as directed to any facility for any shift where needed.
- Will perform work in a responsible and cooperative manner to facilitate a positive working environment.
- Will compile information and generate reports, forms, and documents as required.
SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS
At a minimum, contractor is expected to:
- Fill the function of being an on-site liaison and "decision-maker" for the contractor.
- Be able to take immediate action to assess and correct job or personnel issues.
- Be familiar with and enforce all applicable standards, regulations and safety requirements associated with the work overseen.
- Supervise multiple teams and foremen
- Achieve effective coordination and harmonious departmental relations through regular communication
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be willing to work inside and outside under varying weather conditions.
- Three to five years' experience in heavy industrial/power plant environment preferred
- General working knowledge of power plant operations preferred
- Familiar with basic maintenance requirements for equipment operated with ability to perform some routine maintenance procedures
- Ability to work shift schedule
- Understanding of OSHA safety rules in heavy industrial/power plant environment
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be observant and have normal color vision acuity in addition to begin able to detect abnormal operations through sight, sound, and smell.
- Must have thorough knowledge of power plant operations and of Lock Out/Tag Out systems
- Ten or more years experience in area(s) of supervision
- Should have significant power plant experience in general; familiarity with the site(s) and/or work group(s) in question is preferred.
- Significant experience on OSHA Safety requirements in heavy industrial/power plant environments.
- Experienced in planning and directing skilled and semi-skilled craft workers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; fluent in English
- Skilled in reading and understanding blueprints and technical specifications
- Very proficient with MS Office Suite.
