Position
The Support Engineer is part of an exceptionally talented IPC team responsible for the support of small to medium multi-site environments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for staging, configuration, implementation, and support for installations
- Respond to service requests in a timely and efficient manner, with a primary emphasis on root cause remediation
- Internal and end customer documentation
- Contribute technical content regarding networking technologies for presentations, proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and project plans
- Possess a wide and sophisticated understanding of the overall technology environment and vendors that IPC supports
- Work with sales and technical teams to identify, validate and develop strategic sales opportunities
- Pursue and successfully maintain critical industry and product certifications associated with IPC selected network solutions

- Experience with Call Center/troubleshooting customer service concerns.
- Experience with CRM/ticketing and management systems

- Have fundamental knowledge of internetworking designs and their applications, to include IP subnetting and routing techniques on LAN/WAN networks, Security
- Have desktop knowledge and experience to support: Windows, Linux, Mac
- Have server knowledge and experience to support: Windows, Linux/Unix, VMware, Hyper-V, Exchange, SharePoint, DNS, Active Directory, File/Print, etc
- Have network knowledge and experience to support: switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, etc
- Have security knowledge and experience to support: Multi-factor authentication, server hardening, vulnerability scanning/penetration testing, monitoring, etc
- Strong customer service and documentation skills
- Experience with ConnectWise a plus
- Ability to travel up to 40% with valid drivers license and reliablie transportation around the West Michigan area.
