We are looking for a Construction Manger that can work on behalf of our client (the Owner) on a project in TX. This job is a great opportunity for a driven manager to put their mark on a very large Utility Scale Solar project in West TX.

Job Description:
Work as Owner Representative to oversee all aspects BESS plant construction including: interconnect, site work, owner purchased material, safety, startup and commissioning, and project close out. This position is responsible for the overall QA/QC management of the team to ensure compliance with quality, scheduling, and safety goals. Employees in this role coordinate and administer construction work performed by EPCs or subcontractors and/or vendors at the project site as assigned by the owner. Employees in this role report to the Project Field Manager (PFM).
Location:
This is an onsite assignment in Temple, TX.
Education Requirements: Four-year Electrical - Mechanical -Civil Engineering degree, Construction Management Degree, or Associates degree in related technical or management fields. NABCEP - PVIS certification. OSHA 30
Experience Requirements: Construction Management, professional career in construction with past experience in Battery and solar markets. A background in electrical and utilities is preferred. A five-year minimum experience in Utility Scale Solar or ESS is required.

Field Observers (FO)
A. The FO will be responsible for:
1. Act as authorized representatives of CLIENT.
2. Act as inspectors for the following area(s) civil, electrical, foundation, mechanical/structural, substation and/or scopes as assigned.
3. Observe and inspect contractor construction activities including methods and materials used to ensure compliance with contractual design and requirements.
4. Activities observed could include the construction of roadways, BESS foundations, conduits, Trenching, inverters, collector system (A/C and D/C), collector substation, interconnecting transmission line, Operations and Maintenance building.
5. Conduct daily inspection and generate reports for any specific task on a given day including.
a. Safety Process Compliance
b. SWPPP
c. Civil Construction
d. Battery Construction
e. A/C and D/C Collections.
f. Substation Construction
6. Complete required inspection forms and checklists to support accuracy and completeness of construction of the following areas.
a. Final Road Inspection.
b. Drainage Structure Inspection.
c. Seeding Inspection and Coverage Report.
d. Road Stabilization Inspection.
e. Switchgear Transformer Receipt Inspection and Test.
f. Trenching Inspection.
g. Splicing/termination inspection.
h. Concrete
i. Equipment Mounting Structure Piles
j. Inverters
k. A/C and D/C Collection Systems
l. Crossing Location inspection.
m. MET Tower Inspection.
n. Backfill and Compaction Inspection.
o. Topsoil Stripping.
p. Switchgear/PMT/Inverter/PCS Termination Inspection.

7. Document all inspections and observations via PROCORE and in accordance with the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Inspection, Testing Plan (ITP)
8. Maintain the following forms and checklists in the respective in accordance with the Project Execution Plan. Review for accuracy and completeness:
a. Tooling
b. Civil
c. Structural/Mechanical
d. Electrical Collection
e. SCADA
f. Transmission Line
g. Substation
h. O&M Building
i. Foundation Excavation Inspections.
j. Foundation Formwork Third Party Inspection.
k. Grounding and Conduit Inspection.
l. Outer Ring Grounding Inspection.
m. Conduit Inspection.
n. Backfill Inspection.
9. Maintain all inspection reports for their accuracy and completion.
10. Maintain the visitor control log. This log will be submitted weekly with the progress report.
11. Use PROCORE to issue written communication in the event there are any safety and health violations observed. In the event a notification is made, contractors will be required to rectify the situation and FOs will conduct an inspection to verify its completion.
12. Use PROCORE to maintain the current version of the contract and drawings. Any change orders that are approved, will then be incorporated into the current set for use by all parties.
13. Use PROCORE to maintain an active log of shop drawings for use by any and all interested parties. This log will track the status of shop drawings to include the following: submitted, active review, reviewed with comments, approved, or returned.
14. Use PROCORE to maintain an active log of any and all Requests for Information.
15. As needed review any pay requests made by contractors to validate and check for any inaccuracies or discrepancies.
16. Use PROCORE to track all Notices of Non‐Conformance, including action plans for corrective actions. Inspect as necessary to verify all items in the Notice have been successfully addressed.
17. Conduct walkdowns as needed and prepare punch list items. Conduct final inspections as needed to verify punch list completion.
18. Assemble and submit the final project records per the Project Execution Plan in a timely fashion.
19. Provide real-time updates on key construction activities such as site clearing/grading and other civil works, access roads, solar array construction, AC and DC collection systems, transmission lines and substation via Field Maps/GIS -based construction tracker system provided by owner.
b. Minimum FO Qualifications
1. 5-year construction experience in the assigned area
2. Must have experience with quality control practices and field-testing methods used in construction.
3. Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and schematics.
4. For Civil/Mechanical/Structural FO(s) experience is preferred with ATI, NEXTracker and FTC single-axis trackers.
5. All Field Observers must possess valid NFPA 70E
6. Electrical FO’s NABCEP PVIS Certification or equivalent.
7. Must possess Procore Field Worker Certification.
