The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliation. This position requires a detail-oriented and highly organized individual with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Monitor and manage outstanding receivables and payables.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
Payroll:
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records and handle payroll-related inquiries.
General Ledger:
- Perform regular general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax preparation.
- Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, RentManager) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
