We are currently seeking an accomplished and dynamic individual to assume the pivotal role of Director of Human Resources within our organization. This position will be instrumental in providing strategic oversight of our HR department, including management of payroll, benefits, Total Rewards, and compensation functions, with a primary focus on fostering positive employee relations. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, multi-site, and multi-state environment, and possess exemplary leadership skills to effectively lead and inspire a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee HR operations, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and management of Total Rewards programs.
- Provide comprehensive oversight and guidance to HR staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, offering insights and recommendations on HR strategies and best practices.
- Direct recruitment efforts, collaborating closely with hiring managers to streamline talent acquisition processes and ensure optimal results.
- Spearhead employee relations initiatives to cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment conducive to high performance.
- Utilize advanced analytical capabilities, particularly in Excel (vlookup and pivot tables), to analyze HR data and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain a prominent organizational presence, serving as a trusted resource and advisor to both employees and leadership.
- Demonstrate strong initiative and decisiveness in resolving challenges and driving impactful decisions.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational objectives and industry standards.
- Manage a flexible work schedule, balancing three days in-office with two days remote work.
- Engage in occasional travel, approximately 15% of the time, to various company locations as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Preference for SHRM certification or equivalent accreditation.
- Demonstrated expertise in HR principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
- Track record of exemplary leadership and achievement in driving organizational results.
- Adaptability and flexibility to navigate evolving priorities and business dynamics.
