About the Position
Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) is hiring a Project Coordinator/ Assistant based in Roswell, New Mexico to provide arrival, on-site, and pre-departure travel and logistics support for delegates from around the world participating in training sponsored by the Department of State at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA). This position will coordinate logistical arrangements with ILEA staff, support delegate arrivals and departures, perform logistics-related tasks during the training, and resolve last-minute travel-related contingencies in coordination with SCG’s globally based logistics team. During trainings, this position will assist with troubleshooting issues, such as canceled or changed itineraries, and coordinates closely with ILEA staff and the SCG project team. This position will also work closely with SCG’s headquarters-based Knowledge Management team to distribute surveys prior to delegate departure. Between trainings, this position will work closely with the Program Manager to assist with planning and coordination to ensure the seamless execution of logistics for forthcoming events at the academy.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
· Fluency in English required. Facility in at least one other foreign language (e.g., Spanish, French) highly preferred.
· Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
· Proven ability to work well within a team setting and collaborate with team members dispersed across multiple time zones.
· Willing and able to work with foreign officials from around the globe, including during weekends (flex schedule).
Project Coordinator
· Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
· At least two years of full-time, relevant work experience. Relevant experience includes providing tactful customer service and responsive problem-solving support; booking travel and dealing with travel-related emergencies and logistical hurdles for groups of travelers; planning and/or delivering events, conferences, or workshops; working with VIPs and/or with international travelers, guests or delegations.
· Proven experience solving travel contingencies, handling emergencies, and addressing and resolving unforeseen logistical hurdles.
· Experience working in or with the U.S. government, the U.S. State Department or U.S. embassies preferred.
· Salary range: $40,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience.
Project Assistant
· Up to two years of work experience. High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
· Salary range: $34,000 - $49,000 commensurate with experience.
