We are Union self-insured self administered Welfare Fund located in the western suburbs of the Chicago area . We offer great benefits and a competitive salary. We are seeking a full time Medical Claims Processor/Customer Service Person.
This person should be detailed oriented, technologically capable, and dependable. The primary responsibilities will be to adjudicate medical claims and provide customer service.
This position requires a highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to providing excellent customer service by responding to and documenting telephone, written, electronic, or in-person inquiries. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter who works well under pressure. Be highly organized with demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of requisitions.
Must be computer proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Have basic knowledge of benefits claims, adjudication principles and procedures and medical terminology and ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials, technical procedures, benefit plans and regulations.
