As the Senior Sales and Use Tax Analyst, you will oversee all aspects of Sales and Use Tax Matters encompassing compliance, audit, direct business advisory, system maintenance and transactional tax calculation validation.

Your impact:

Researches and responds to sales/use tax questions submitted by internal and external customers, including responding in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion.

Reviews, approves, uploads, and maintains client resale and/or exemption certificates.

Manages resale certificates distribution to vendors.
-
Monitors ticketing system to resolve transactional issues.
-
Works with legal and tax firms on sales/use tax issues.
-
Coordinates with system developers, internal and external, to ensure tax calculation process is accurate on existing and new initiatives.

Organizes state/local sales tax payments.
-
Monitors state and local tax legislation for changes relevant to company, researching and driving implementation of any relevant changes.

Interacts with internal business leaders as well as client contacts to advise on state and local tax implications of new business initiatives.

Provides guidance regarding taxability of products and services.

Reviews and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns, accruals, and payments.

Supports monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement processes including account reconciliations.
Your Profile:
-
Three (3) years of accounting and corporate sales/use tax experience.
-
Experience with Thompson Reuters OneSource tax application or other sales tax software.

Experience responding to sales tax questions from clients and internal teams.
-
NetSuite experience is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment.

Must have exceptional problem solving analytical and technical skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong capabilities in lookups and pivot tables.

Ability to perform tax research and provide taxability guidance.

Understanding of sales tax nexus concepts in a multi-state environment.

Must be able to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.

Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and demonstrated initiative.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to remain poised and professional under pressure.
