Vital Hospice is the region's Growing provider of Hospice health care services. Providing extraordinary and dignified care, comfort and compassion to individuals and families at end of life.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall clinical operation of the Vital Hospice . This role oversees the dynamic interdisciplinary team and works closely with the Administrator to ensure compliance and excellent patient care. Key responsibilities involve budgetary, management, leading the activities of the nursing team, providing clinical direction, and ensuring compliant growth and profitability of the agency. This individual drives team work, leads by example, and has a focus on quality care.
- Proven ability to motivate staff to achieve goals; ability to solve problems.
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the business aspect of hospice and/or healthcare.
- Demonstrated skill set in developing and implementing procedures.
- Minimum of five years of nursing practice, with demonstrated clinical skills and at least one year in hospice or home care.
- At least two years healthcare management experience required.
- Lead the operational planning and processes
- Grow and establish a passionate team of clinical, office, and leadership employees to further our mission
- Monitor and oversee key budgeting components to support the successful operation of your office
- Maintain consistently positive patient outcomes by promoting communication, continuing education, competency testing, and quality assessments for your interdisciplinary teams and more
- Collaborate with Operations to create goals and objectives based on the needs of the patient population you serve
- Build relationships with agencies and vendors to support the continued growth and development of your hospice location
- Fill in when necessary in the field
- ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and staffing are consistently available to meet the needs of our teams, patients, and their families
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
