The Brain Injury Association of Virginia has an excellent opportunity to join our team of caring individuals. The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for raising public awareness of brain injury and working to improve the quality of life of brain injured individuals. Specific duties include the below:
- Attend and participate in community events to raise awareness.
- Identify resources and services that would be beneficial to brain injured individuals.
- Facilitate on-line support groups.
- Manage and send satisfaction surveys and texting follow up to those receiving information and referral services.
- Manage BIAV's resource library.
- Recruit program participants, assist with contract management and provide technical assistance to programs.
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in education or social work and will have community engagement experience. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective time management and organizational skills are required. Certified Brain Injury Services certification is required within 12-18 months of hire.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 per year
