Summary: As the PCB Designer you will effectively design and drive process improvement standards. The PCB Designer will have the opportunity to work on both conventional SMD copper boards, and insulated metal substrate boards. Collaborating with the Electrical Design and Mechanical Engineers the PCB Designer will aid in new product development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative high-quality and cost appropriate PCB Designed to meet stakeholder’s requirements
- Leverage Altium Designer to perform design work from conception to verification
- Prepared accurate detailed assembly drawings in both conventional and exploded view
- Created documentation for PCB manufacturing
- Generates and maintains PCB related BOMs from schematics in Syteline
- Leads evaluation and process improvement initiatives to ensure best practices are used throughout the PCB Group and Design Center
- Managed library components and related policies and procedures while collaborating with Global Teams
- Issues and implements ECNs in ECN Module ensuring documentation accurately complies with regulation requirements
- Supports local Design Center and Business Units for tools, processes, and PCB design capabilities
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a PCB Designer
- Expertise with Altium Designer and Pads SW, required
- Thorough understanding of PCB fabrication processes, tolerances, and IPC standards
- Working knowledge of ESD principles and practices, and analog design experience
- Strong communication skills
