Position Overview:
Our client is seeking motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Officers with an established book of business to join our remote team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in mortgage lending, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage application process, assessing their financial situation, and recommending suitable mortgage products to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the mortgage application process, providing guidance and support from initial inquiry to loan closing.
- Conduct thorough financial assessments to determine the eligibility of clients for various mortgage products.
- Educate clients on available mortgage options, including conventional loans, FHA loans, VA loans, and other specialized programs.
- Collect and review financial documents, such as tax returns, pay stubs, and bank statements, to verify income, assets, and liabilities.
- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of mortgage applications.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations governing mortgage lending practices.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources to generate new business opportunities.
- Stay informed about market trends, interest rates, and industry developments to provide informed advice to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or a similar role in the mortgage industry.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, loan underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency with mortgage lending software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Active mortgage loan originator license in good standing required.
