Miami Regional University has an Immediate opening for Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Nursing. This position will provide administrative support to the Dean for the School of Nursing and assist with other academic priorities of the University. It will coordinate and implement various projects as assigned. This position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Nursing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter pending transfer credits into Student Management System (CampusVue) for all nursing students transferring credits
- Attend faculty meetings and provide minutes for each meeting attended
- Acquire graduate list from the Associate Dean of each program (ASN, MSN-DE, MSN-FNP) to start application process
- Communicate with graduates from each program regarding application dates and license ongoing information
- Assist students to complete applications and fingerprints for all prelicensure programs
- Complete APRN application once students pass Board exam
- Follow up with Financial Aid and Bursar Department and Office of Student Achievement to compile school list according to clearances, send to the Dean of Nursing for submission to the Board.
- Assist students with the follow-up regarding Board applications and send necessary documents to the Board, as needed
- Assist students with reapplying for Board if not successful the first time including those applying to other States. Such as NY, HI, and/or CA
- Prepare academic related forms used for Associate Deans as requested (withdrawal form, change of grade form, change of program)
- Assist in the completion of forms for re-entry students (TR form and AK)
- Respond to incoming requests by phone or email in a timely manner
- Prepare Acceptance Letters
- Maintain proper records, to including filing documents
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and at least four years of experience in a related field required.
- At least one year of experience with CampusVue, preferred
- Knowledge of higher education principles, practices, and procedures
- Working experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, administrators, colleagues and students is required
- Ability to work independently on multiple assignments and to work collaboratively within a team required
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communications skills required. Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to problem-solve and handle confidential documents on a daily basis

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Some weekends required; one (or two) late days a week to be scheduled. Attendance required at certain MRU events;
