Engineers of various experience levels supporting a multidisciplinary team designing, building, maintaining, implementing, and at-sea testing of unmanned vehicles and sensors used for data collection. We seek highly motivated candidates across multiple engineering disciplines including systems engineering, mechanical engineering, and electronics hardware engineering. Candidates will support systems and component engineering efforts to conceptualize, develop, verify, deploy and maintain complex integrated electronics systems. This position will provide a high variety of work of differing durations, and increased responsibilities as ability and experience supports.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
· Support ongoing system and component development and integration, with a strong focus on establishing, understanding, and meeting requirements
· Systems engineering analysis and modeling
· Provide concepts, production, integration and support engineering for various electrical and electronic hardware components to include circuit design, component selection, interfacing, electronics packaging, procurement, documentation, prototyping, troubleshooting and qualification
- Develop standard design process documents such as trade studies, requirements, specifications, test plans, and operator procedures
· Support data collection and processing through field testing and data analysis
· Development of required test environments
· Software/hardware integration and formal verification
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Secret level clearance
Preferred
· Knowledge and system integration of COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) equipment: radio frequency (RF) communications, GPS technologies, electromagnetics, power supplies and cable harnesses
· Design and operation of electronic communication systems
· Diagnostics and troubleshooting of electronics systems
· Real-time embedded system development
· Control systems analysis and modeling
· DoD Cybersecurity analysis and implementation
Skills
· Use of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and logic analyzers
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize resources
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Moderate lifting; up to 45 pounds.
· Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend and reach
Clearance Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screening.
