OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Senior Network Administrator position will support the organization’s network systems and related equipment. This position performs installations, upgrades and maintenance on all network systems. The key responsibilities include systems administration, security, telephone system administration, network infrastructure design, disaster recovery, cloud administration, and managing the network team and contractors.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervising the day-to-day operations of the network team.

Directing, planning, and coordinating network contractors to support network administration. & maintenance.

Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software or other network issues.

Plan, coordinate and implement network security for hardware and software.
-
Install software and set up hardware.
-
Maintain applications and/or virus protection measures.
-
Review network system plans for completeness and accuracy.
-
Perform disaster recovery operations.
-
Document network infrastructure and runbook for the 24/7 Support team.

Maintain network and circuit inventory.
-
Contribute to the planning and implementation of emerging network technologies.

Assist in the implementation of new customer facing SaaS products by contributing to the supporting network design, project planning, installation, and configuration.

Perform a variety of tasks associated to the network infrastructure to support growth, performance improvement, and security initiatives.

Maintain and continually improve network documentation and monitoring.

Participate in the evaluation and testing of new network technologies.

Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments.

Maintaining current network configuration backups
-
Completing defined daily checks to ensure the high-level health of the network.

Assisting the team to respond to automated network monitoring alerts.

Manages Checkpoint firewalls security policies and VPN.
-
Administer email accounts and maintain email security measures.

Supports Active Directory and Azure/Entra AD

Administer Azure and O365 cloud environments

Maintaining network resources, including configuration of network switches, server hardware, VoIP systems, operating systems, applications and services in a wired and wireless environment

Proactively contact participants when surveillance systems identify connectivity issues.

Interface with vendors and clients to repair and resolve installation issues.

Administers DNS and DHCP configurations.

Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to computer or information science.

3+years of experience working as a Network Administrator

CompTIA Network+, preferred. Other certifications considered such as MCA, Network 5, VCP

Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
-
Hands on technical troubleshooting capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS:

Practical knowledge of network security, including network encryption, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessment and

Skill in the use of Microsoft Office at an intermediate level or higher

Significant experience with the use of the network monitoring and diagnosis tools is highly desired.
