The Junior Estimator prepares preliminary estimates by assessing materials, labor and equipment that is required for a part and/or project for review by senior estimators. Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and clients. Make recommendations for reducing costs and efficiency. Manage bid pricing from vendors and prepare detailed cost analysis. Providing the best price, based on quality of work offered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties, functions and responsibilities pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

- Learn job skills, company policies and processes to do routine tasks.
- Monitor RFQ email inbox for quote request that meet the parameters of a quick quote to ensure quotes are processed in a timely manner.
- Develop streamline process to verify if part/component can be manufactured in house or send to outside service.
- Respond timely to program managers or clients with intent.
- Ensures all cross-functional departments required to provide input in the RFQ process provide timely, accurate inputs for the RFQ response.
- Ensure customer RFQ due dates are met.
- Manage companies bid list
- Obtain quotes from vendors for component & material pricing
- Develop and continually expand a comprehensive understanding of the components of the quick quote role to include the ordering process.
- Collaborate internally to provide solutions and accurate information to fulfill and complete the order cycle.
- Identify potential road-blocks to order fulfillment process and solutions to move process forward.
- Follow up on outstanding quotations to secure orders, improve quotation process and measure effectiveness.
- Additional Duties and Responsibilities may be assigned by Manager as deemed necessary/required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
- High School Diploma or GED plus,
- a minimum of (2) two years in the manufacturing industry, and
- a minimum of (2) two years of related job experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential physical requirements, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:
- Strength — (Light)- Exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those of Sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
