Responsibilities
- Provide technical pre-sale support for labeling systems and label application equipment.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering to identify application challenges and gather necessary information.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including material, labor, assembly, and testing costs.
- Create concept layouts for customized products and services.
- Research and incorporate new components into system designs as needed.
- Support sales in presenting technical proposals and technology information to facilitate order closures.
- Validate and sign-off on vendor-supplied equipment before customer acceptance.
- Coordinate pre-sales testing and qualification of samples.
- Work closely with Weber vendors to exchange information and samples for quotation purposes.
- Coordinate custom orders with vendors, ensuring detailed functional specifications and validation requirements.
- Validate and process applicator and systems orders.
- Conduct minimal travel (less than 5%) for reviewing and qualifying potential applications.
Skills and Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Mechanical and electronic aptitude.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, and listening skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D software is preferred.
- Good computer skills and typing accuracy.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings effectively.
