The Mercato is looking for Butcher/Meat Cutter to be a part of our team. This position would be responsible for cutting and trimming beef, setting up the meat case, and helping customers. This position will primarily work with our Certified Piedmontese Beef, but will also work with other proteins, including pork, poultry, and seafood.
An ideal candidate would have good working knowledge of food safety, be proficient with knives. A background in culinary or food preparation is helpful. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for food and working with high quality proteins. Part-time and full-time positions available. Evening and weekend hours required. Assume other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Cut, trim, and weigh cuts of meat
Package and label various cuts and products
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
Assist customers
Follow safety guidelines

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
