This position will play an important role in Kimble’s success in this area.
Requirements:
Responsible for the efficient operation of commissary services at a specified Detention Facility.- Receiving, separating, and preparing individual inmate commissary orders for distribution to inmates in the respective assigned housing location.
- Distributing individual commissary orders to inmates at times and locations as directed by the facility administrator.
- Properly handling shortages or damages for orders within company and facility policy.
- Caring for and maintaining any on-site products and keeping the work areas clean.
- Assisting in maintaining equipment necessary to carry out the commissary functions at assigned facility.
- Act as liaison with facility staff and inmates on a day to day basis.
- Work closely with the Site Manager to provide best in class service to the assigned facility including reporting service or relationship issues immediately.
Summary of essential job functions
- Represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
- Assist in ensuring overall efficiency of onsite commissary operation and client satisfaction.
- Ensure that all facility security regulations and procedures are adhered to by all company staff on site.
- Carry out duties as assigned by company management.
Minimum requirements
- Read and comprehend documentation written at a nationally accepted high school level.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have the ability to work in a secure corrections environment.
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
Abilities required
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift items weighing up to sixty (60) pounds to a height of 54 inches
- Ability to communicate verbally
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
