ABA Behavior Technicians
POSITION SUMMARY:
Looking for experienced behavior technicians and paraprofessionals with experience in ABA to work with children and young adults between the ages of 2-26 years old in home based settings in the Hopkinton area. Implementation of the treatment plan, monitoring the client’s behavior, reinforcing implementation of the treatment plan by the parent(s)/guardian(s)/caregiver(s), and reporting to the BCBA/LABA on implementation of the treatment plan and progress toward behavioral objectives or performance goals.
JOB DUTIES:
- Monitors the client’s progress on implementation of the goals of the treatment plan developed by the BCBA/LABA
- Collects data and conducting certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments)
- Works closely with the BCBA/LABA to ensure the treatment plans and risk management/safety plan are implemented as developed and reports to the BCBA/LABA if the client is not achieving the goals and objectives set forth in the treatment plan, so that the BCBA/LABA can modify the plan as necessary
- Assists the client in implementing the goals of the treatment plan developed by the BCBA/LABA
- Directly implements skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans as developed by the BCBA/LABA

- Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written.
- Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.
BASIC AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment. Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time. Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection. Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements. Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication. Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means. Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites within the Greater Worcester Area. Must have a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License & insurance in good standing
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years old or older; and must have either
- a high school diploma or a general education development (GED) and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age client, or families; or
- an associate’s degree in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management, from an accredited community college or educational institution and have six months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age client, or families, or
- certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and have three months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age client, or families

Schedule:
- After school
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
