We have a unique opportunity for someone to assist us in performing HVAC preventive maintenance & repair duties as our Traveling HVAC Mechanic for our six healthcare and rehabilitation centers.
As a Traveling HVAC Mechanic, the responsibilities are:
- Demonstrate an ability to make repairs, service and perform preventive maintenance tasks on rooftop HVAC units, PTAC units, split system, kitchen cooling/refrigeration equipment and in addition support our local maintenance departments in making plumbing repairs and electrical wiring or equipment repairs as necessary,
- Perform preventive maintenance duties or repairs to enhance the life cycle of capital equipment and systems at our facilities.
- Complete and address special projects or work orders as assigned.
- Support our local maintenance departments on special project or repairs as assigned
- Interact with selected contractors and vendors on projects or major repairs.
- Report your findings to local Maintenance Directors and Corporate Director of Facilities Management.
- Demonstrates competence in leadership, tactful interpersonal communication and problem solving
Traveling HVAC Mechanic qualifications are:
- High School graduate, with at least two years of technical school degree in either HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical. Journeyman license in one of these fields is preferred.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to use Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Must function independently, exhibit flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, families and support agencies.
- Excellent communication skills needed
- Availability for emergency or on-call work when necessary.
- EPA Certification is required.
