Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse provides direction to Licensed Practical Nurses and non-licensed nursing personnel in providing direct resident care. The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Long Term Care facility.
III. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A. Current licensure in Georgia as a Registered Nurse.
B. Previous clinical nursing experience in provision of medical surgical nursing and long term care desired.
C. Current verification of competency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Work in conjunction with multidisciplinary health team
Meet the nursing needs of residents
Direct the Nursing Assistants assigned to their unit in their performance of providing daily care to residents in accordance with standards of practice and current federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations
Demonstrate knowledge of clinical and medical principles
Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident
Follow Physician’s orders
Render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
