BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA) for Macomb and Southern Oakland County

FLSA Status: Exempt
Employment category and hours: full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 annually (Based on experience)

Work Environment:
SBS provides consultative services for the assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior for people with mental health and/or cognitively delayed diagnoses. This position works remotely and in the facilities of other organizations such as adult fostercare homes, schools, nursing homes, community mental health centers, family homes, etc. There will be frequent interactions with the staff members of these facilities and with the clients who experience issues with their mental health, cognitive abilities, physical abilities, and/or behavioral health.
Job Mission:
The mission of a BCBA at SBS is to create behavior plans and guide their implementation through the development of professional, collaborative relationships with SBS employees and the clients’ stakeholders (e.g. staff members, guardians, regulatory committees). This will enable the creation of reinforcing environments that allow co-workers and client-stakeholders to empower themselves and the clients.

Required Education and Experience:
● Education: Master’s degree or enrolled in a master’s degree program in psychology, applied behavior analysis, social work, education, special education, speech language pathology, occupational therapy, nursing, or another related field
● Experience:
○ BCBA in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or in pursuit of BCBA
- Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of Michigan, or eligible to become licensed
- Experience managing the behavior of staff/employees who work directly with people with mental, cognitive or behavioral disabilities
- Experience working with caregivers and other professionals on a collaborative team
Preferred Education and Experience:
● Education: Master’s degree from an ABAI accredited program
● Experience:
- BCBA in good standing with the BACB who meets BACB requirements to provide supervision
- Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of Michigan, or eligible to become licensed
- 2 or more years of experience managing the behavior of staff/employees who work directly with people with mental, cognitive or behavioral disabilities
- 2 or more years of experience working with caregivers and other professionals on a collaborative team
- Experience conducting functional behavior assessments for adults with mental, cognitive or behavioral disabilities
Other Requirements:
- Must have reliable motorized vehicle and be willing and able to travel between different assigned work locations in Macomb and Southern Oakland counties.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance in good standing
- Must be willing and able to use quick and sudden body movements in the course of working with people who engage in potentially dangerous behaviors
- Must have the manual dexterity to engage in writing and typing actions
- Must be able to provide and receive detailed information through oral communication
- Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through electronic devices and paper means

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
