Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: (1) Teaching graduate courses in all areas of Library Science, including the following areas of school librarianship: technology, cataloging, reference, collection development, research, school library programming, and school library administration: (2) Supervising graduate level students. Experience in teaching courses online is a plus. Candidates will be expected to use technology as related to the field. May teach up to 4 classes as needed each semester. All courses are online.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Ph.D. degree in Library Science or Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership or a related education field and a master in Library Science
Experience Required for the Position
Teaching in required field is preferred. Candidates should have potential for excellent teaching. Appropriate PK-12 teaching and school library experience is require. It is preferred that the candidate have experience working with various populations.
