Project Manager - Construction Summer Internship
Travel: 100% Travel required across multiple states
Location: Based in Fort Worth, Tx, this is a traveling position across multiple states weekly. The position is mixed hybrid of office and project traveling.

For over 40 years, The FRICKS Company has specialized in the design, construction and finishing of the most durable concrete floor surfaces in the world - extending the life of the floor surface by up to 10 times that of conventional concrete. Our projects range nationwide from distribution, food processing and cold storage facilities.
Purpose:
This position is intended to assist the Project Manager in all phases of the construction process. We are seeking a construction intern entering their Senior year and able to join the team upon graduation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Project Manager in daily job site performance and execution for on time and efficient project delivery/completion.
- Prepare and attend pre-job meetings with Field Supervision and support team at FRICKS headquarters.
- Reviews, evaluates and may develop schedules, logistics plans.
- Recruit and interview potential candidates for successful completion of project.
- Collaborate with Finish Supervisor and others to anticipate project requirements and expectations.
- Works with Concrete Quality Director to ensure all required testing is performed to start and complete the project.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to read and understand project drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly autonomous, self-directed, organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and manufacturing environment
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Able to interface and communicate with all levels of employees and management
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to remain calm in difficult situations
- Must have clean driving record and current valid driver license
- Reliable transportation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be entering Senior year and able to join company after graduation
- Must be pursing construction management degree or equivalent
- Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged standing
- Able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to travel out of state for prolonged periods at a time
- Overtime
- Able to work in a construction environment, indoor/outdoor, and occasional inclement weather conditions
Job Types: Full-time, Internship
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
