The Computational Neuroscience Laboratory at Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Research Assistant to join us in making a difference in pediatric neuroscience research.
About the Role:
- Work on a cutting-edge project at the intersection of Computational Neuroscience, Engineering, and Computer Science
- Utilize Big Data and advanced computational tools to quantify neural maturation in the adolescent human brain
- Collaborate with a diverse team of investigators and students in Neuroscience, Computer Science, and Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data preparation and analysis of functional and structural neuroimaging data (fMRI)
- Utilize coding skills and statistical analysis techniques with MATLAB programming
- Independently develop computer programs for data analysis
- Contribute to groundbreaking research in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience
Qualifications You Need:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with a focus on Signal/Image Processing), or Physics
- Proficiency in MATLAB programming is required
- Coursework in Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience, and basic Statistics
- Experience in brain signal and/or image processing (EEG, fMRI, MEG)
- Strong interest in Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, and Computer Science
- Experience in the analysis of human brain data is preferred
