Job Description
Summary
We are looking for a competent medical assistant who will make a difference with our practice and patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and assist the provider with patient care. Medical assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to work independently and keep the practice functioning on a timely basis. We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and make office procedures as smooth as possible.
Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
· This position will be required to float to all our offices within the Phoenix Metro Area
· Prepare equipment, examination rooms, and clean instruments
· Take vitals, and record patients’ health history
· Administer injections/medications and perform routine specimen collection testing/processing
· Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
· Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
· Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
· Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
Medical Assistant Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred
· Urology experience preferred
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
· Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
· Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
· Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times'
